I think it's important to start a training log. Nothing keeps you in line with your goals than seeing progress in black and white.

Here's my current weight-in. I'll try to do this weekly:

- Height: 6'2
- Weight: 211 lbs
- Waist: 35"
- Neck: 16"
- Body Fat %: 15.82%

Here's my workout for today:

Smith Machine Upright Row:
70 lb x 12 reps
75 lb x 12 reps

Smith Machine Overhead Shoulder Press:
30 lb x 12 reps
35 lb x 12 reps

Lat Pulldown:
70 lb x 12 reps
75 lb x 12 reps

Pull-Up:
12 reps
12 reps

Taekwondo:
0:20:00 || drills

My workout for today:

- Barbell Squat: 3 sets of 12 reps
- Seated Leg Curl: 2 sets of 12 reps
- Standing Calf Raise: 2 sets of 15 reps
- Machine Bench Press: 3 sets of 8-12 reps
- One-Arm Dumbbell Row: 3 sets of 8-12 reps
- Seated Dumbbell Shoulder Press: 3 sets of 8-12 reps
- Lying Triceps Extensions: 2 sets of 8-12 reps
- Alternating Dumbbell Curls: 2 sets of 8-12 reps
- 20 minute run with the pup

Today I have a bike race (10 miles). It's a charity thing for Special Olympics.

I've got an old Walmart-special for a bike. My goal is to get debt free (except for the house). When I do that, I'll reward myself with a new Diamondback hybrid bike.


In all honesty, the speed one rides doesn't have that much to do with the bike . . . it depends on the rider (the engine).

Even a Corvette will run slow if it's got the engine of a garbage truck under it's hood.

- Standing Medium-Grip Barbell Curl (3 x 12)
- Heel-High Sit-Up (10)
- Flat-Bench Leg Pull-In (10)
- Run with pup for 15 minutes
- Tae Kwon Do class with family tonight

do you like the close grip pull down?

I find that it is more bicep-y

I like the wide grip for lats myself
