You can be a RLSH today, no qualifications needed.

i also recommend "confessions of an EMS Newbie" podcast.

and yes, the laws surrounding Good Sam are a mofo. ask your instructor. then find out who your medical director is, and then ask him. or her.

good to see more people getting into EMS. Cognito, Moxie, and Golden Valkyrie are all enrolling, and i know a handful in the community already have taken the class.

@Dogman I dont think JD is the sort of guy that ever DOES it. Just comes on and poses.

Sorry JD but its just the way I see it. Not even being mean.

Yeah, I know. I just need to know I'm not just some dude with good intentions and no proper experience. I'm taking a martial arts class while body building right now so my schedule is filled considering college is part of that equation.

You have YEARS of security guard experience to add to whatever else you've done in your life old man. I'm barely in college. There's a few pins I have to line up before I score.

P.S.: I never said I'd ever done anything. Otherwise my status wouldn't be Non-RLSH.

*shrug* Sorry if that got under your skin. But with my oh so advanced age and decrepitude I have learned to spot those caught in Analysis Paralysis.

Like I said, wasn’t being mean.

I think what we can all agree on are two big points:

One, our training is NEVER truly over. There is always more to learn, therefore even the best can improve.

Two, ability is good, but ambition is better.

Albert Einstein is perhaps the most well-known genius of all time, but his IQ was trumped by William James Sidis, but no one really cares because Einstein did things with his intellect that Sidis didn't.
